Happy Days

Post by Mongrel » 08 Aug 2016, 6:26 pm

Well had a bit of goodluck with my inlaws over, they gave me an early xmas pressie since we wont see them till next year, of some cash...So guess what i did :)
Got my self a Bushnell Elite Tactical 5-15x40 scope. All i can say is holy cow what a difference good glass makes :)
I tried it out on the weekend at northarms and after sighting it in i got a couple of good groups(not moa) but im happy. 5 shot grp 42mm and another 5 shot grp at 47mm.
Im using PPU 150gn soft point. Cheap ammo. so my next thing to do is get a couple of different brands and see what my gun likes. Well, until i start reloading

Even if you dont shoot a lot. Assuming you are fairly young the gear will pay for itsself, better accuracy, more versatility, cheaper ammo, and added interest.

Earlier u start the cheaper it is.
Lee kit is a good option for starter or perhaps second hand. Just depends on budget and how serious you are.

About $250 http://www.midway-australia.com.au/bran ... ision.html

My reloading gear paid for its self in the first year, easily.

Nice present, by the way.
