Has anyone had any experience with Tru Glo optics? Specifically the 2x42 red dot. I'm looking for a cheap red dot for my scout rifle. I've looked all over the net for reviews and they seem to be either really in favour or really against it, not much middle ground lol.

This is the one I'm looking at:

I've heard a few complaints about the occasional crooked reticle, and battery life which isn't great.

I know you're looking for cheap, but if you can spring for a little extra Aimpoint is where I'd spend my money.
See you on the firing line.

I've used one before.

Good for the price I suppose. Only complain really would be that it's not amazing in bright light.

Not terrible, but not great.

Got a budget? Open to alternatives?

Aimpoint are great.

I was having a play with a few in my LGS on the weekend.

Crystal clear in full daylight.

Not on an overly restrictive budget but I don't wanna spend extra if these will do the job for cheaper. Definitely open to other options. I only plan on shooting the rifle out to 150 metres at pig sized game so it doesn't have to be the world's best optics. Plus the less I spend here the more I can spend on other goodies :D

If you want a real good one, check out the Aimpoint Micro H-1.
