Boresighters

I have two boresighters one is the magnetic& the other has the arbor that fits in the muzzle of the rifle.Can anyone tell me why is it that i do not get the same readings on each boresighter when used on the same rifle? The magnetic one (Leopold) showed dead centre the other one (Tasco) was a long way to the left &high.Guesse it could be that one of them is faulty,i know the leopold puts me on the target.Grateful for any info

I'm guessing the one in the muzzle was off and it is a simple parallax issue from sighting down barrel. Just a guess but it doesn't take much to throw the sighting out by a bit.

As you say, one could also be faulty.
