Is there any advantage for an one-piece mount?

Going to pick up my Vortex PST 6-24 scope this week. It will be put on an Ab Arms chassis. Am thinking to get a Burris 1 piece mount to put the scope on my rifle. Is there any advantage on it? Or is it more for AR 15? I have seen some pictures of people using 1 piece mount for their scope and rifle.

I was looking for one myself, but they were big money, they can get rid of any twisting, but some quality rings and good installation is fine also

Pros: rigid, no movement, stronger

Cons: if not perfect can twist action, no adjustability in rings position unlike a pic rail and separate rings

I used a pic rail and bedded it to the action to prevent stress on the action. Then I installed the rings and lapped them. In my opinion this is the most stress fre way of installing a scope.

Going to again put on my flame proof suit here, I am sure that there are pros and cons for both and you can mount both poorly or go to extremes and lap and blue the mounts and , and and, and.
There are few makers out there that make poor quality actions these days, no one can afford to, they would be out of business very quickly. Word gets around quickly. Mounts are the same. Buy a brand that you know is reputable and they will hold your scope straight and secure. Most faults from mounting come from operator error and not the mounts. Lap if you wish, buy one piece if you want but there are a lot of bench rest shooters and F Class shooters out there using two piece mounts. If it works use it.

Just my opinion but seems like quality individual rings are all that anyway.

How strong does it need to be really.

The Gamereaper one piece mounts are very well made. Both mine mounted and where within a few clicks of being bore sighted from mechanical zero. Rings are concentric with a heap of contact around the scope.

Got 3 or 4 rifles with one piece mounts on them, never had a problem whatsoever with any of them, some have been on for 30yrs or more now (Hilver, Tasco, DNZ brands).

Ever look at lapping them or so close as to not bother?
