Old Tasco 4x28 - serviceable?

Post by alby » 10 Dec 2016, 1:55 pm

So Dad had a shed clean out and came across this old Tasco. I remember buying this in about 1990 at a pawn shop, had it on my old Diana 34. No idea how old it is.

Thought I'd try pulling it to bits to see if I can get a bit more clarity. Any tips? I've heard shaving cream has anti fog characteristics.

No harm no foul if it all goes pear shaped lol and I might even learn something.

I use shaving cream on bathroom mirror and car windscreen both as a cleaner and a defogger. Works a treat. Still haven't got around to it but I'm going to give a go on this old Tasco. Now it's holiday season I might actually find the time to do it.

Did you end up giving it a crack, Alby?

Curious how it turned out.
