Damaging a scope banging it on safe

I did something stupid this morning and gave my scope a pretty good clang on the side of my gun locker while getting my rifle out of the safe.

Enough to put a half mm deep ding in it anyway.

Am I likely to have damaged something?

Not due to go for a shoot for a while, bit worried I might get out there and find it won't hold zero or has some other wobbly bit in it now

If you've got something reputable they're usually reasonably robust.

Only way to find out is get to the range, but a knock here and there shouldn't be a problem.

Iv found it very hard to brake any thing fire arm related it like the only products around on the market that are designed to last. id say you need to hit your scope with a hammer to actually do any damage every thing in there is bolted in and really secure.

Most hold up fine against a few knocks, even harder ones.

That's what you'd expect really. A good scope is tougher than most people give them credit for.

A few knocks won't kill it.

I think I know the one you're talking about... They're testing 'military' situation and drop it down rock slide hills, submerge in ice cold water, and give them all a tonne more abuse and the good scopes still come out zeroed.
