What range to scope in .22

Having a go for foxes tonight using a .22 with a 6x40 scope just wondering what suggested range I should scope it in at. Cheers

set it at 50 mtr, while you can go out further, the wind/car movement will start to put your shot out,,if they are 60/70 out you will still take them out but over that you are starting to stretch it for a clean kill with a 22

CCI stingers are recomended at 75 yards.Use full power ammo and they will fall over.

My bolt action 22s are sighted in at 50 yards, everything else 25 yards, closer for the iron sighted Stevens Favorite.

50 metres. Check at 25metres or vice versus. Although my 50 turned out to be 63 metres (I didn't own a range finder). But it was a pretty good zero for high velocity .22s. sub sonics drop a bit earlier compared to high velocity.

4-12 Zeiss using Winchester Power Points at 75 Metres for a zero, easy to allow for those 100 shots.

8.5-25 Leupold using Lapua Centre X for target at 200 Yards for a zero....

Just ran this through an online ballistics using Rem 'Golden Bullet' as a base: BC of .125, Vel of 1280, 40gn bullet:
My statement of drops was out but the fact that it works in the field bears out, giving a 1" impact zone between 15-55m and a 3" impact zone between 15-75m. Anything beyond 75m out to 120, i tend to use the 223rem with TrailBoss load, beyond that they get to live or i get closer; this is for culling light bodied pest species with brain shots to 50 and vital shots out to 75. I don't take photos of culls but on foot (solo) i usually get between 6-12 and on the back of the ute between 25-50 odd under light.
