Nikko Stirling tactical target master

I've heard people saying that Nikko Stirling make good scopes but has anyone used these there $180 so a bit sus on them.

I've got the Nikko Stirling Nighteater in 3-10x zoom.

Like you said, they're cheap so not going to be amazing.

A good enough scope for the money IMO... Didn't cost a fortune, looks clear and bright to me and not fuzzy at max zoom like some I've seen.

For what it is, I give mine the thumbs up.

Not to state the obvious but $180 isn't much... Spending a little more will get you something better of course.

It's been said on here before that a good scope will last you a lifetime, and is worth the extra cost.

What's the scope for?

What magnification ranges are you looking at?

Give us some more information and we can make some suggestions.

I'm pretty much looking at getting a tikka varmint in a 260 bit of target work and hunting pretty much just looking at a cheap scope for 6 months or so and then will upgrade to a better quality scope

For the sake of 6 months, you wouldn't just save a few hundred extra and get something good now that will last?

But that would also Be at least 6 month I can't shoot my new rifle

They are fine, I use then for targetwork and have no issue. You can definately see better through the more expensive ones but tracking(adjustment) repeatability and durability are more than acceptable.

They also have a lifetime warranty on workmanship so if it does crap out you just get a new one.

I saved and sacrificed and got a NF in the end but my scores stayed about the same, when I stopped competing seriously I sold it and am back to my Nikkos again without any regrets.

Expensive is VERY nice to have but not essential.

But these are just my humble opinions, not written in stone and carried by Moses.

If it will keep you busy for 6 months until you get the better scope you want, go for it.

You can always sell it later for 2/3 what it cost you on ebay or whatever.
