Trouble with chiappa little badger.

So I got myself one of these bad boys in 22 mag, and the damn thing is shooting straight.

I have tried 2 scopes but im thinking the culprit is the plastic picitiny rail the scope mounts to.

Everything solid n snug, could a plastic rail really be causing 6 inch groups at 50?

You tried different ammo?
Are these rifles known for their accuracy?
I had a quick look on Rimfirecentral and it seems replacing the plastic rail with an aluminium one is a significant step up in accuracy - might be worth a try.

Assuming that was meant to say "isn't shooting straight"

Like Blade said, different ammo if you haven't tried it is absolutely step 1.

Same rifle can do 5" groups with ammo X and 1" with brand Y.

Tried about 3 kinds of ammo some do shoot a little better but not fantastic, im basically chasing 3-4 inches at 100, Both scopes I have are fine and these rifles can usually deliver about 2 inches at 100m

mccraggen,
6" groups at 50 is cause for suici..................Oh no; forget that . Help is at hand :D Are these groups vertically strung out? If so, the plastic(?) rail might be loose. Try this; grab the scope in one hand and the rifle in the other. Pull the parts away from each other vigorously to see if you can feel movement. Continue the violent treatment, apart, together etc until satisfied you can feel something move......or not. Got your rifle rested properly back and front? How is it with open sights?
Good Luck mate

Its more a shotgun pattern, im guessing the plastic rail is flexing and causing the shots to go all over. I lost the iron sights when i took them off :(

What do you think about epoxying the rail to the rifle?

My 22lr little badger shoots pretty well with the irons.
I was tempted to put a scope or a red dot on, but I am enjoying getting back to basics.
Biggest issue I had was the glare I was getting off the plastic rear site.
