Its a Burris 10x40 scope that I'm looking at buying for $400. I can't find anything about it but the seller has been told its vintage and rare. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it.
And no,I don't want to buy a damn variable,so I'll cut that off right now lol

Although I am not familiar with the scope, it looks like it may be 70's or 80's vintage and was intended to be a silhouette scope.
Look down inside through the objective lens and carefully look for any possible defects like mould or lens separations or anything else that doesn't look right, as they would be grounds for substantial reductions in price.
The thing to consider is that for not much more $ you can get a used German 8x56 of the same era but with vastly superior optics, or a Lynx or Sightron fixed 10x42 with quite good Japanese internals.
