Pistol club recommendation, northern Sydney area

Hi guys, I am thinking of getting into pistol target shooting, something like IPSC. Any recommendations for a good club in the north side of Sydney?

I don't know the area at all but I bought firearms from a guy from Newcastle Pistol Club, and I've shot matches with other members from there. In Waratah - if that's not too far for you it might be worth looking at.

If you enjoy IPSC it might be worth looking at Cowboy as well, damned good fun.

Thanks bladeracer.
Cowboy does look very interesting. I will definitely look into it down the track.

You could try St. Ives Pistol Club. I think they shoot IPSC and heaps of other stuff, I believe.
Kuringai Pistol Club does not shoot IPSC.

Either way, good luck.

I am not sure of decent pistol ranges on the north side, but that Newcastle one looks good.

Blacktown is one of the biggest and does the IPSC steel stuff.
I looked at it when I got back into shooting and watched them shoot the steel.
It was a great range facility with lots of ranges, sort of out the back of the Mount Druit area.
I didn't bother going down the pistol path, and ranges can be funny places run by Fudds, which sort of puts me off lots of them.

The SISC is good, though, and has a big row of about 6 pistol ranges, plus the full-on comp range.
