Advice with fluff, dirt and impact on an optic

Would anyone have any ideas on this issue I'd like to solve, but can't quite think of a solution.
Even if you haven't a pistol with one of these things on it or not, maybe you can offer help.

After a week of having an optic on one of our farm pistols, and it getting belted, rolled on, generally knocked about I thought I'd try and protect it with the rubber cover these things come with. So far, I've lost two now. the second one I pinched off another long gun.
It's only the edges and the spring steel guard on the sight that's taking the wear, so no big deal. Thank goodness it has that spring steel guard and so far hasn't moved at all with zero being spot on. I am amazed at the hits it's copped so far.
I actually had to buy a Hogue grip for it because the micarta Legion one it came out with was getting too damaged.
But when wearing the thing, the screen fills with fluff from my shirts, dust, even small rocks and grass seeds. Some days you really couldn't look through it properly when the sun is on it. So I used the rubber guard but so far somehow two have been pulled off and lost when hooking on something. And the holster is flat against my side and doesn't stick out at all, for that reason to be not in the way.
I try and have my work shirts hanging out, over a t-shirt, to keep the sh1t off it but to no avail.
I actually have to rinse it under a tap before trying to clean it with lens cleaner and a soft paintbrush each night. Just the way it is.

Nobody ever talks about this. Even in the US on YouTube where every man and his dog has an optic on a carry pistol, this is never mentioned. I think most people just bling gear up and never really expose their gear to real hard use, and sit in a case when not being used.
Anyone have any ideas on a cover, a way of covering the screen or any other thoughts please?

i thought a lot of those reflex sights came with a moulded cover ? i did a quick google and found a company in virginia beach USA called "sentry" that make a neoprene cover similar to the scope "socks" that are sold for loopys . their product is called "scopecoat" . according to their "terms and conditions" page they do post outside of the USA but the customer is subject to import tariffs , blah, blah. have a look at the product and maybe contact sales at cleaver to import a couple for you . hope this helps , cheers

Thanks Rich for taking that trouble.
The originals are soft rubber that do stay in place cos they are moulded that way, but both now have been pulled off when I was doing stuff.
They did have lanyard lugs moulded into them, which I figured would get in the way and get caught on things or foul the gun, hanging off the pistol.
By the looks, Leupold knew that covers can be dislodged and lost.
Oh well, Darwins theory of evolution.

The rebated screens on these sights, when carried on a pistol, act like a receptacle for dust and crap. I had no idea how much lint comes off your shirts, or dirt and hay and dust that you are exposed to and collect in that little funnel.
\On a shotgun or rifle, this is not ever an issue like this.
I have flip-up covers on all our scopes for this reason, they keep all the terrible dust off the lenses and rain too, I never have to clean our scope lenses, even the stuff that bounces around all day in the open air.

Can you get a retention holster that covers the sight? The covers flips out of the way as you draw.

Yeah the smallest ones they make are for those red-dot things people buy, see the pic.

They are just smaller versions of those neoprene stretch-over covers some scopes come out with, for transport.
There are a few companies in the US and even one in Alaska, making these accessories.
But not for reflex sights unfortunately.
