Great gun, I got mine many many years ago. But since they're out of production you better have deep pockets.
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."

Scary thing is, his wife is a world champion and so is his daughter.

I guess when you live on shooting lane you need to live up to his name.

Here is Max Michel shooting 18 shots, 2 reloads 3 targets 4.79 seconds. Ohh and 16 of the 18 are alphas and the other two is just outside

I know I will never even be half as good as these guys but man they get your heart pumping and makes me want to try!

Me. I love them.

I have a few. I'm a fanboy of Colt Pythons (no, not because of that show, but, I should watch it).

Once you get into reloading, its a great way to shoot alot without having major spends on ammo. Shooting 2000 rounds a week is easy if you're super keen.

Try that with a bolt action centrefire rifle and see how much it costs.

Hey everyone, would the Smith and wesson 986 be a good 9mm revolver to get? I want to experiment with different loads when I apply for a cat H license, so 9mm is a good choice and cheap to handload, but will the gun hold up? I know S&W makes good stuff all around, just want to know if anyones fired/held/field tested/bought one. Thanks

Anyone have any opinions on sign sauer mossquito in .22lr. Due to licensing etc I wouldn't be able to get one straight away, but this thread has gotten me thinking I might have to join a club sooner rather than later and this looked a decent place to start (as in cheap, I don't want to dive straight into the deep end)

I was looking at these. If you Google them they get a pretty bad rap from a few people. Turned me off them

I believe the S&W M&P 22 would be the better choice. I ended up getting the Beretta but the Sig was considered.

Doesn't help much but they work well suppressed. Unsuppressed, they are hit or miss. Considering the nonsense you guys have to go through to get a handgun I would suggest looking elsewhere. It's a shame because they look cool (and do work suppressed).

I second the S&W M&P .22. I have the new-ish compact version and if you use the right ammo it's 100% reliable. I have not shot any other semi-auto .22 with this level of reliability.

Licensing fees and ongoing costs are higher for pistols. For clays you only need a Cat A license as opposed to expensive club membership as well as licence

Winning load found for the Trubor and 500 rounds prepped for tomorrow night, hopefully that's enough :) Might have to take a rifle for some recoil therapy as my shoulder is tightening up a bit :) Picked up an adjustable rear sight for the Glock this arvo from my good mate at MidwayAus so I'm off to the man cave to fit it and load up a couple hundred .416 Barrett.

Which sight did you go for the Glock? Mine has an adjustable but I have a hard time tuning out that white outline so wanna swap for a plain black one

Yep, I shoot my friends Ruger SR22, my Dad's High Standard Victor, his Colt Woodsman Target Match and his S&W Model 41.
None of them cycle as reliably as my M&P 22. If I stick to certain brands of 22 it simply does not jam. Ironically the box of Winchester ammo that I got with it as part of a promotion is the only brand I have seen issue with, and it's bad. About a 10% failure rate. But I can go through 500 trouble free rounds of CCI without a hitch.

I was looking at the sr22, but it seems it won't neet minimum barrel length requirements for WA.
