Hey Guys, first post
just have a question if there is a cooldown period to get my first PTA for cat H? I already hold my car A,B license and have a rifle. Recently got my cat H license approved it took 5 months.

They say it's 28 days in limbo before they look at your first cat h pta up here, but it seems to be taking people a bit longer to get them lately. Most people put their first pta in with their licence application to save on waiting times.

I got my Cat H a couple months ago also. I put my PTA in during my application. It was approved the day after my license approval came through. QLD is not very fussy on waiting periods. It’s one of the main complaints from the anti gun lobbies about QLD and not adhering to the NFA.

Plus a couple air rifles.
