Taurus TX22 - a .22 getting lots of luv

Pity that the barrel is a bit too short for us but hopefully that will be attended to in due course. It's really the only .22 pistol that interests me at present so hopefully.......... Comprehensive review here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7JsYg-umO8

That does look interesting. Great review on that youtube channel. I wonder if a compensator on this would make it club legal in AU... if one even exists. Did a quick look and don't see anyone with these available for us. Have you come across any suppliers?

Nowhere. The barrel is too short.

They released a Competition model with a 5" barrel earlier this year so you might see that arrive later in the year. Depends on the importer, whoever that is. The big gun shop in Brisbane might import them as well.

I saw them advertised at Clever Firearms just after I posted my question. They have a compensator attached to comply with barrel length restrictions. Wonder how this would go in NSW though?

Probably won't, but you would need to check with FAR, I guess.

Got a link? I can't find them listed.

The comp would have to be welded on for it to count as part of the barrel length. If it was removable it would make it a prohibited weapon due to barrel length but If it was welded on you wouldn't be able to remove the barrel from the slide for cleaning or maintenance. Pretty big deal breaker for most people.
