It's difficult in Australia as we can't try before buying with firearms but both the Shadow 2 and PPQ Q5 SF have excellent reviews, I spent a lot of time on YouTube looking at reviews and comparisons and they were both highly praised with personal preference being the main deciding factor between them. So the good news is that you can't make a wrong decision.
There was a guy at our club that swapped his Q5 for a Shadow 2 as he didn't like the lightness of the polymer frame and found the Shadow to be a significant improvement, especially for recoil management but had the Walther been a Steel Frame version I don't think he would have changed it.
I ordered a Walther LP500 air pistol last year that had to be shipped from Germany, despite all of the "it will be here soon" promises it took 10 months to arrive so be careful with anything that's not Australian stock, you might also want to consider a used pistol, especially if this is your first center fire as you can re-sell it for almost no loss if you don't like it and you can wait to make a major purchase until you've had a chance to try somebody else's gun at the range.
