NT police handguns for sale?

A mate told me about this but it appears to be taken down now or sold as I can't find it.

Don't know if anyone saw it on usedguns but there was an NT police issue revolver for sale apparently?

It would be an interesting bit of history for one of your guns to have. Surprised to see the police selling their firearms into private hands though.

Apparently these are not police issue at all.

I have no idea why but apparently Ruger made a few hundred run of them with the NT police issue stamp for a marketing gig or whatever, but they were always intended for private sale.

Further to this, I read it was actually 200 pistols.

Maybe they were for Tennessee and they got the TN backwards
