Right up there with these

As an aside, one of the guys I shoot with is actually pretty good at shooting side on like that. Not fast but he's pretty accurate.

It never ceases to amaze me.
If some idiot can imagine it some moron will make it.
But that’s how things get invented isn’t it?
I guess we win both ways.
If it works we use it or enjoy it’s benefits, if not we kill ourselves laughing at it.
I’d love to have a brain that comes up with these ideas (I’d keep it in a jar) :D

Why?
Imagine what the response was, what, centuries ago when the guy holding a shotgun said to his mate;
"Hey Giovanni, this is a good think.... if I was to add another barrel wouldnt it be MORE of a good thing??"

"pfffft, I'll give you six... and revolving! Ha"
"Mate you aint seen nothing, how about 100!! beat that!"

Wasnt Metal storm 'invented' by an Aussie?? Kind of disappeared into obscurity didnt it, I guess they hadnt solved the reloading in the field issue....once the enemy hears the brrrrrp, they know its spent...

I think the company folded.

Very interesting tech, but I wouldn't think very practical (which seems to be supported by their closure?)

Metal Storms downfall was the bean counters.
Doing the budget... How many rounds per minute? now estimate x hours service by 6 month supply = :wtf:
QStore's 6 months supply of Metal Storm ammo?, where are we going to put it?
Sarg. Here's your 5 rounds of practice ammo, don't use it all at once.

IF IT WAS OPERATED BY OUR RAAF
Here's your annual qualifying shoot requirement of 10 rounds due to DMO SRP (no joke).
Cheers. Brp! Pffft!
Now spend an hour cleaning the entire thing like it was used for a week. Make sure you jam the cleaning rods in tight, flex bend then just rip them out rough damaging throat, lands and crown AC.

SGT yes SGT. Ummm Crowns, Throats and Lands... Huh ? :unknown: Caked it in oil and got the ram rod out! Look no lint in the bore. All good? :unknown:

Good job AC
