Hi guys, has anyone ever used a 380? What are they like and what are the disadvantages and advantages when compared to other calibres close to it such as 9mm?

I haven't shot .380 that I can recall but I have seen them.
About the only advantage is slightly less recoil. A pistol designed round the .380 can be a little more compact than a 9mm.
.380 is weak enough to allow blowback design.
9mm generally needs a delaying mechanism.

380 is a 9mm just shorter it 9x17 the luger 9mm is 9x19 the 380 is in compact gun and it cost more there is not any advantages to a 380 beside to a person that carrys a concealed gun i have one i dont shoot it and dont carry it.
i do like the russian makarov it is 9x18 i have two and lots of cheep amo to shoot and surplus guns dont cost much and are well made and the makarov is real close to the luger 9 mm ballistics
