Help with tire size ???

Can anyone tell me,,
A tire with the size 25 x 8 - 12

What does the 25 stand for ?
Is it the rim diameter ?

I am assuming it's for a quad or odyssey.
25 - overall height of tyre in inches
8 - width
12- diameter of rim
