CRUDE, SIMPLE, but VERY EFFECTIVE

I slapped this rig together in a day, and is what the heading suggests.
It simply bolts onto the trailer floor, and has two separate working heights depending on the size of the logs.
Pictured is just a small log that I had left over from last year,, that I used for photo demonstration purposes.
I use the winch cable from my ute, up over the wheel rim which is welded to a short length of pipe, which is a neat sliding fit over the main cross pipe, with a small locking collar on either side.
This enables the rim to be slid sideways to any given position.
I put grease nipples in the wheel rim pipe to act as a bearing, but worked flawlessly for the demo without any grease at all.
The log is winched to the lower end of the ramp which has rails welded to in in a radius, which guides the log on its way.
Once at the top of the ramp I continue winching and the log is lifted above the trailer floor height, and then slides in far enough to lower it down onto the floor.
Then i release the log scissors and re attach them to the log in direct line of pull, and then continue winching till the log is fully on the trailer.
By using this, I intend to be able to get two layers of logs on the trailer for each load dependent on size of logs.
I did have several other good pics, but they wouldn't upload for some reason.

I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.

The simpler the better. Low tech wins every time!
There's still a few of Wile. E Coyote's ideas that I haven't tried yet.
