Combination bar & chain and 2-stroke oil

Don't know much about oils... Is there such a thing for chainsaws?

Or are they too different for one to work as both?

Two different things, 2 stroke oil is thin, bar oil is thicker a generally has an additive to make it stick to your bar chain type thing and less flinging off as such,

I just bought a heap of 2 stroke engine oil from Masters (Bynorm Semi Synthetic) for $9 Ltr which also has a fuel stabilizer in it. I did see they had some 4ltr bar oil there (supposed to be 4x the lubricating over other bar oil) it was around $40 so might get one of those next week too.

Definitely don't use the bar oil in the fuel, your engine won't like it at all and you will seize it for sure.

Oils aint Oils Sol

For what you mentioned,, each one has a special job to do, and each one won't do the others work.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.
