i worked underground for a couple of years.
lifespan of the average landcrusier ute was 6 -12 months although with $100 k of repairs they were known to last over 2 years.
all this with less than 20 000 clicks on them.
oh and don't ever buy an ex-mining ute.

Road was bone dry until the bogies broke through and then the crap underneath had the consistency of wet cement.
