What do you think made the difference here in terms of 4x4 kit? Did the Hilux looked like it should have handled the terrain as well as your BT?

I agree and its only the money situation that is stopping most from betting all the good gear. Right now I've only got All Terrains. No winch. Nothing else. Gonna rely on a bit of cautiousness to prevent myself from getting into something that I can't get out of.


Save ya dollars and get a winch!! Even a turfing winch(wallaby jack will work if ya got shackles and straps). Doesn't matter what else ya get if ya get stuck diff deep ya won't get out with out a pull of some sort. If theres nowhere to pull off ya can always bury ya spare. :thumbsup: :drinks:

I get you.

hand winching will probably put we out of action for a week.

Will save the money for a bullbar and a winch. Not cheap I know.

Yeah mate they're not cheap at all. Pity ya not up my way I've got 3 goods bullbars sitting in the shed!!!! :lol: if ya carry a 1m length of metal pipe ya can slip the pipe over the handle of the winch and it makes it a hell of a lot easier!!! :thumbsup: :drinks:
