You'd rather have a bullbar over better tyres?bigfellascott wrote:We've dragged 2 4wd's out of rollovers in the last week - they clearly didn't know their limits the funny part was I drove down the hill one of em rolled on in my BT, whilst they were driving the much re-veered Toyota Hilux with all the bells and whistles on it,
What do you think made the difference here in terms of 4x4 kit? Did the Hilux looked like it should have handled the terrain as well as your BT?YoungBuck wrote:I think it's fair to say that you should never go 4WDing only with your one favorite 4wd accessory.
I agree and its only the money situation that is stopping most from betting all the good gear. Right now I've only got All Terrains. No winch. Nothing else. Gonna rely on a bit of cautiousness to prevent myself from getting into something that I can't get out of.
Save ya dollars and get a winch!! Even a turfing winch(wallaby jack will work if ya got shackles and straps). Doesn't matter what else ya get if ya get stuck diff deep ya won't get out with out a pull of some sort. If theres nowhere to pull off ya can always bury ya spare.
