SA is private property only nowadays I think so you'll need to find some properties to hunt on.

Just throwing it out there......as far as numbers, and variety of game goes , we are more fortunate living in NT QLD AND NSW, AND MAYBE VICTORIA....than elsewhere ? Without considering deer, I guess NT would be the ultimate place to live for hunting and fishing

Not sure about that, no public land for hunting in the NT either, except for the four minuscule places you're allowed to hunt pigs and ducks with shotguns only.
Qld also has no public land.
I haven't studied Tasmania closely but it strikes me as a decent place for shooters.
But Victoria is the place to be in my opinion. Whenever the mood strikes you can just wander out to any state forest with a rifle and see what's about, no permits, no bookings, no limits.

Some goats but not a known pest - quite rare.
No wild dogs - very few wild cats... - you won’t see them in the “true” bush,
Lots rabbits but poison in use in many areas...
This is why wallaby no’s are so out of control down here...

Absolutely - state forests, of which there are many are fair game for all licences shooters.
All invasive species are free to hunt - rabbits, etc
$50 a year buys a wallaby licence. Fallow Lic $65.
Deer clubs are getting insanely expensive($1000-1500 a year) and land access specific for hunting Is also getting difficult.

Unfortunately a lot of property owners i have approached for hunting over the years seem to be quick with the cold shoulder.....
The couple of properties i shoot on don't have a lot to offer hunting wise but excellent for target practice.. spose ya cant have everything.
