Favourite tomahawk

As title reads, if you use a tomahawk(s) when hunting or camping, what have you found to work best for things such as collecting wood. And if you like to throw tomahawks which have you found to be most effective.

I'm currently using the CRKT Kangee and it is nothing short of a beast. Steel is super hard and holds an edge like none I've used before. Very good for throwing too, since it's full tang and balanced well.

I'm using the Gerber Downrange tomohawk.

Light but usable head, innovative grip inbuilt in the head when using the pry end.

Doesn't have the abundance of knife edges like so many are fond of these days, but I don't so any slicing with mine. The ace/prying tool combo is top IMO.

Not a fancy one but I have an American Tomahawk VTAC Lagana.

Basically just a flat wide blade for the primary and small diamond point for the rear.

A simple one, just strong. The nylon handle cushions the grip just that fraction but still feels solid.

Very snazzy, always liked the look of the Downrange, but thought it was more tacticool than usable out in the country as the ability to pry doors and stuff like that is more needed in an urban environment. Have you taken it out hunting or camping? If so how did it fair?

@Dale, I would love one of those Tomahawks too but it's currently not in my budget!

@Khan, I was looking at buying that one earlier but opted for the CRKT after I held one and noticed the balance, Feel so good in hand, and is awesome to throw. How it yours throwing? (if you have tried)

@Berper, my M48 broke I like to practice throwing my tomahawks, so a full tang construction is completely necessary. What I found with the M48 when I threw it was if it impacted on the handle side it would stress the handle to the point where it snapped completely. Emailed UC and they don't make extra handles...

A little tacticool I suppose, but the features do some in handy. The pry bar and especially the handle.

I do take it up. I find the pry works to save yourself chopping. If there is a slightly larger than ideal log for wood I can make a start with the blade and pry large bits apart with a single pry instead of a dozen or two chops.

Particularly good for old/rotting trunks where they're already starting to split. The pry bar lets me through them faster than chopping in many cases.

I don't use mine for throwing and didn't think about the tang.

Only for chopping for me so not an issue.
