The old MSR mutha hubba seam tapes went. After spending days repairing them the fly seals went as well. Turning into flakes like dandruff with a sticky floor. I like the 3 man for one person as I can fit all my gear un there without going back to the car in the rain. I bought a msr elixir 3 man as the seams aren't poly eurathane anymore. While im waiting for the 3 man to arrive , ive decided the old one man oztent firefly also had to go. It was claustrophobic and cheap. I ended up buying a naturehike mongar 2 pro for $221 off Amazon. I set it up today and I have to say tent design and quality for price has improved dramatically over the last 15 years. The unit has almost straight walls and 1.05m in the center allowing you to sit up and put cloths on. One vestibule turns into an awning allowing you to sit out the tent with the rain and wind off you while you cook. The internal pockets for torch, phone are good as is the internal line for hanging clothes.
The weight of the unit is the same as the old single tent with 3 times the space if you include awnings.
Something to look at, if you need to save weight and space in a small car.
