Lures are for catching fisherman, not fish

Post by veep » 26 Sep 2014, 2:35 pm

I'm getting into fishing over the past couple of months with a mate who's already into it. They say lures are for catching fisherman, not fish. Damned if it isn't true for him.

We've been going out once a fortnight or so and every time he used 1-2 new lures, but he's bought 5-6 new ones since last time.

The box of lures is bigger than the box to bring fish back in now

For trout fishing I have: 20gram halco slices, three soft plastics, five different ashley spinners, three Tassie Devils and two different weights of celta AND THAT IS IT.

Not bragging but I catch more than most people.

Easiest way to catch fish is with money... At the fish shop

Cheaper than throwing $30 lures into trees and snags :P

It's less about the fish than the fishing itself though ;)

Yeah,

Still a good way to spend a day even if you don't catch anything.
