ok... time to organise the meet (VIC)

Post by 1290 » 06 May 2015, 1:53 pm

I propose to organise the first annual / monthly / weekly / extraordinary / whatever....
MEETUP (yeah, thats a bit scary  )

This is obviously limited to who is either close enough or prepared to travel to the highly (at this time) secretive rendezvous point, most likely located to the outer east of metro / rural fringe Melbourne in a convenient state forest location.

Lots of shooter types...
Lots of gunses......
Lots of bull-dung may be spoke......
Lots of guns may be compared......
Lots of noise may be made.....

Who is in?
Admin must attend too! (unless admin like admin of a previous forum purchased his 'first gun' half way through the life of the forum..... :wtf:
interstate applications accepted :drinks:
Accommodation arranged... (may be a leaky tent in a rainforest during wet season)

time to cut the crap and put your names down girls.... :friends:

only thing i know about coldstream is their Pilsner :drinks:

Were you thinking about a range day, dinner and a few beers or a full on weekend camping at a range? The mudgee events have been a great success with some weekends drawing nearly 50 people

If your looking for even a halfway comittment from members Aus wide,,,
I'd think you'd have to do better than a leafy suburb / forest on the outskirts of Melbourne.

Maybe Camerons Corner ?????

Thats a VERY strong possibility.
Maybe accomodation would still be in a leaky tent,,,,,, but at least we wouldnt have to put up with winds off the arctic ice like Melbourne.

FA 1996 s185 Interstate licence holders—temporary visitors
(2) A person who—
(a) is the holder of a licence in another State or a Territory which authorises the possession, carriage or use of a category A or B longarm for the purposes of hunting; and
(b) ordinarily resides in the other State or Territory—
is deemed to be the holder of a corresponding licence under this Act to the extent that the holder is authorised—
(c) to hunt on land where the holder has obtained the permission of the owner or occupier of the land to hunt on that land; and
(d) to hunt on Crown land, if such hunting is in accordance with any Act, regulation or other instrument regulating hunting on that land.

Similar wording applies to competition shooting, clays, cat C/D and primary production Licence holders

Also, once you move to Vic, your interstate licence is valid for 3 months in Vic!!

Come on guys, our administration (aka Govt) may have gone back to the commies recently, but this is VICTORIA, land of the Free range shooting and endless places to plink, I mean hunt... :drinks:
