Good socks

Post by headspace » 08 May 2015, 8:23 pm

I've been trying out some new socks lately, they're made of bamboo and I have to say they do pretty well. For a start, the stinky sock thing at the end of the day's hunting seems to have gone, plus they tend to keep your feet cooler in hot weather as well. I'm waiting for things to cool down a bit more to find out if they keep your toes warm in winter, but I don't think they work both ways.

Hi guys
Ive been reading the forum for about a week now, some good info and good conversation (but this is the internet! That's not supposed to exist on the internet!) so i thought id join.

I've always had huge problems with holes in my socks, normally only get to wear a pair about three times before a hole appears in the heel, and holeproof were amongst the worst.

Anyway, i've come across a cheapie brand in big w called darn tough, and so far no holes!

If anyone else has problems with holes, these might be worth checking out.

Mate you need to manscape those spurs on ya heels. Get the big flat file out of the work shop and get stuck in. Or maybe some sandpaper.

They do Franky, in fact lots of things are made from bamboo. I've got a couple of shirts and shorts too. You just don't want to go near any Panda's.

It doesn't compare to part of North America and Canada but southern-most parts of Australia routinely drop to -5c or -10c overnight in the colder months. That's Sydney, most of Victoria, ACT and Tasmania.

That's about -15 to -20 Fahrenheit if I have my math right.

Sorry Carter old mate but I think there's been a calculation misadventure, I'm sure that minus 5 or 10C is a lot warmer than minus 15 F. Have to check, I'll get back to you.
