You don't a ute with a canopy mate, just get yourself a good cheap dome tent like oldbloke said and make sure you've got good insulation from the cold ground and a decent bag to wrap up in. Don't be afraid to take your favourite pillow either. That business of cowboys using their saddles is big time BS.

All the snow we recently got has melted except for on the higher peaks. The local ski resorts are under pressure. A small amount of snow is forecast tomorrow but not a significant fall. El Nino was forecast this year and appears to be happening.
