Good news for nsw fising folk

Post by Shootingstarr » 10 Feb 2017, 5:04 pm

Hey all just thought I'd share a cool storyc about the improvement of one of my local waterways.
I've lived in the same town on the same river for 35 years and fished it regularly over that time and caught carp , carp and more carp (caught 1 redfin when I was 8.
A couple of weeks ago my kids bugged my to go fishing so we got some worms couldn't be bothered driving to a decent spot so went down the river 5 mins from home and caught 4 carp and wait for it!
8 Murray cod . Size ranged from 25cm to one I got that was just over 60cm in 2hrs.
Both my kids caught their first cod awesome.
Other locals been catching a few as well.
This is unheard of just wondering if anyone else has seen improved native fishing in NSW .
Cheers Mick

They have been catching plenty around my way too from what I've heard, which is great to see.

It really is nice to see them make such a strong comeback, I think a lot of fishing groups etc had a lot to do with it. Anythings better than those bloody carp. I'm hoping to chase a few once the heat bugger off.

Enjoy the fishing mate

Simach Masgouf is a national dish in Iraq, it's carp.

The way you cook it probably makes a difference.
