Roof top tent cover maintenance (leather?)

Post by sneaker » 23 Jun 2017, 10:32 am

Hi guys,

I'm looking at roof top tents and if it goes ahead it's going to stay on the rig permanently, getting lots of sun.

The Kings one looks like a leather (or faux leather?) cover.

It'll be copping it a lot more than leather interior of a vehicle, what do you guys recommend for maintenance of the cover getting heavy duty sun and weather?

Head to super cheap auto or whatever your local car place is and get some vinyl protector.

It'll be something to spray, and wipe on once a month.

I think you'll find Kings have updated there covered recently.

It was vinyl, but I've seen a few new ones driving around now that look like a UV plastic.

Call 'em and ask, might have solved your concern already.
