Have a look under "Collectors Forms" It's the last link.
That's the closest thing I could find.
Also happy to attend and help to organise.

I s**t you not though, I went up rocky mountains with that thing in Bright, Vic, and it actually did alright.
Probably wouldn't do it again though.

I would give it a go. Only problem might be too many , that many guns going off in the bush might draw a bit of attention.

What about a range day? Would be a lot easier place to gather a few people. Could all bring some interesting guns and shoot other peoples interesting guns.

Another suggestion....if you want a range day type thing then I can talk to the Mildura boys and get use of the range there for a weekend. Camping is permitted, shower, toilets, BBQ and we can shoot anything up to and including 50BMG + Handguns.

Personally I'm more interested in a casual state forest type thing, preferably without noise constraints :) Happy to bring a few of the big guns down for others to try.

Milduras sooo far but that sounds good though too, but i think this has possibly gotten a little to much for a state forest 10ish blokes slingin' lead is alot of noise, and i know how trigger happy some forum members are

Do we need an " approved range " :silent: i feel dirty even suggesting it

I would like to come and have a meet up. The club idea has a few problems or at least hurdles these days you really need to become an incorporated organization much better to have an informal gathering. I may be able to organize a country range not to far away. I can ask. The issues with ranges is that they come with safety and procedures. ie needing a range officer and having a closing time say 6pm not shooting into the night and early in the morning when you first wake up ect.

I would like to have a meet up.
Couple logistical issues with a bush meet up over a range though.

A range is a fixed place that will be easy for multiple people to find. People can rock up whenever they get the time. Trying to locate a random spot deep in the bush will be problematic if you show up a bit later.

A few people in the bush having a plink is fine, if the group gets a bit large it could cause some issues.

Hard to find places in the bush to shoot at any sort of decent range. Where it would be safe and appropriate for multiple shooters to be blasting away.

I would really like to meet up with people from the forum and put some faces to names. Going out bush, to me , is more appropriate for a few mates on a camping/hunting/ little bit of plinking trip.

A larger group mainly focused on plinking would be much better on private land or the range. Not trying to be a killjoy, just trying to think about the practical points of large groups blasting away in the forest.
