The great beer pouring debate

Post by Broom » 25 Jan 2018, 7:16 pm

I recently discovered a new theory on pouring beer.

I'm curious what other people know and think on this.

Option 1 - Typical pour, glide the beer into the glass with near as little froth as possible, just enough at the end for a cm or so head.

Option 2 - Pour with as much froth as you can without it overflowing out of the glass, the idea being you release all the carbon from the brew while it's in the glass instead of in your stomach. More comfortable drinking and more of it ;)

Votes either way?

“Accidental Discharges” DO NOT OCCUR !!

An "Unintended Discharge" is nothing more than the lack of appropriate safety procedures or the failure to follow them..!

First thing i thought of was questioned by Daddybang...

Drink option 2 you may as well save electricity & dont put the beer in the fridge either...

Flat beer...??!!??...no bludy thankyou...!!!!
I want that glass workin the beer & gassy all the way to bottom of the glass.

If i get a beer at a pub & after a mouthful there isnt bubbles coming from the inside of the glass i take it back...yuk...!!!

well considering you dont need to breathe beer i would say screw letting the carbon dioxide out and therefore be drinking flat beer when you might aswell get her icy cold and into ya when well earned.

There are different types of glass that are used for different beers - ask at the pub next time ya in one and the way they are washed also makes a difference.

Bubbles in beer are there to carry malt and hop flavours and aromas to the nasal cavity. That's why flat beer isn't as tasty.
