G'day everyone

Just checking for anyone more experienced than I - Are these the same type of ammo just in two different types of packaging?

Hello mate
I have had a few friends use this ammo and they told me it's not that accurate.
Are you using it for plinking or hunting.

Both (not that I get to hunt rabbits that often).

I did an ammo test with 9 different types a few months back - here are the results.

I'd say the winchester PP had one of the best groupings.

Unfortunately, commentary on 22LR ammunition usually engenders insane comment about accuracy.
"I had a few friends - - ". So the ammo wasn't accurate in their rifles, which tells you absolutely nothing about how accurate it will be in OPs rifle.
OPs original question simply asked whether the two types were the same. No1Mk3 answered - that is all that was required.

Hello mate
I bought a heap of it as they were practically giving it away as no one wanted it.
I use it for plinking ONLY. Grouping is poor in my rifles.
For hunting, I now use the Eley hunting ammo. (Eley high velocity hollow 38gr)
groups really well in my rifles.....but it costs almost twice as much.

In one respect I agree with a statement made here that recent US production of sporting rimfire is not as good (re: consistancy) as the former Geelong made Winchester. I still have a brick each of locally produced XTR Pistol and Power Pistol and nothing short of competition ammo (Eley, Lapua etc) comes close. As fot the Super X 100th Anninersary I'd keep it for it's own sake but that's just me. A good friend would already have disturbed his nearest warren with it.
