Madly watching YouTube reviews. Bloody hell - how do you decide between the three. Procrastinating now. It needs to have a 10 shot mag available, trigger adjustable to under 2lb and put 5 shots into a 10c piece group.

From my research the tikka is very good in most aspects but the ejection system involves plastic and a bent piece of wire. Steyr is supposed to be very good also, but magazines are expensive and hard to get from memory.cz fulfills all of your requirements and I believe the magazine they’ve had for years fits the 457 and are easy to find. JMHO for what it’s worth, fact check what I’ve said in case im wrong. Cheers

Styer Zephyr mags are the same as CZ 452,455,457 so are plentiful if not cheap.

good to know , thanks for posting

I saw a few Zephyrs at The Barn recently.
Absolutely gorgeous rifles. The walnut was glowing like a light was on deep inside the wood.
2nd for me would be a Sako rimfire.

Sorry, but when the CZ's went from the beautiful twin-opposed-lug action to the cheap bolt-handle single lug cheapie of the 457 style, I will never play that game. Did this start with the 455 and the stupid interchangeable barrel gimmick? They are no different design now from the economy Ruger available now essentially, the American.
IMHO the last good CZ was the 452/453, a beautifully made action started from the legendary Brnos and finished properly.

CZ have urinated in the Americans corn flakes along the line somewhere.
Not quite sure as to exactly why, but the Americans hate the company.

My mates cz is heavy for a 22.

Still waiting on the Tikka. The gunshop reckons the container is waiting for release from Customs. It’s a pity - I am away farm sitting and had hoped to have the new one with me by now.
