"load testing" for an air rifle

Probably a stupid question, but will run it past the pros anyway

Is there an equivalent of load testing for an air rifle?

Obviously there is no powder weight, seating depth and all that... But I guess different velocities effect different pellets?

Can you tune a air pump up or down to match pellets or anything like that or do you just shoot different pellets till you find the most accurate one?

I know there are adjustable pressure air rifles.

Couldn't tell you if that has anything to do with tinkering with the pressure for accuracy, but they do exist.

Regular old crank (or whatever it's called) air rifles like 99% of people have don't have any adjustment AFAIK...

I've stumbled across a few tuning how-to's on higher end ones like the Benjamin Marauder and that kind of thing.

Nothing for your regular off the shelf type air rifle AFAIK.
