Lol.

I got a good group at 7gr and 8gr.... the speed were 1500-1650 from my 24" barrel... I read going to try from 4.5 to 6grain. So see what happens with speed... assuming to have two rounds one decent speed to get 100m fixes etc and one just near speed of sound for plinking

I reckon they are good. I did buy 5000 of them. I changed my load to 23gr of 8208 in my Howa Mini 223. I haven't even chrono it. It was the first load I tired with 8208. I haven't really been doing much shooting the last few months.
In my option they are equal if not superior to the 55gr Seirra super Roos.

The shop,,,,don’t talk too much. Just buy your stuff. Get in and get out. Sounds like poor service but the prices they are offering us is often unbeatable. And that in itself is a great service! I commend them !

Did you guys have any success with these projectile. I've just purchased 1000 and awaiting supply, intending to reload them with 2206H but can not find any charge info. Any suggestions you have will be beneficial and certainly appreciated.

They are my go to 223 load now - 23.5gns 2206h and clover groups.
Was using 55 and 60gns before these but these Are just So accurate and open up so well after a hit.

I found 223.3 or 23.6 as two good nodes

Is that 23.6 grains of 2206H? What sort of speeds are you getting? You would think that 3,100 fps is about where you want to be.

With 06H + 62gr TAP, case capacity is the limiting factor. A full case is around 25.5gr. Personally, I load on the milder side, around 24.5gr.

They shoot well for their price point, but they are a budget pill, a little less consistent than say the venerable SMK. I’m happy to shoot them from the sling, but from the bipod, I tend to stick to something a little pricier. Just a little more forgiving particularly on those blustery days.

With this pill, I’m happy averaging a bit over a minute at 300m.

3170fps from my steyr 223 shooting these 62gns.
This plate here is at 650m and the 3 shots horizontal are my 12 yr old daughter shooting the 223 / 62gns - not a huge amount of energy at that distance, but she was also shooting on a crazy angle. The bottom impact was an 06.

That's some awesome shootin TT  especially for the 223. Just goes to show what the little 223 is capable of. I have a 4yr old daughter, and she is one strong-willed little character - ultimatley she'll do what she wants to do, but do I hope to one day get her into the sport. After all I need someone down in the butts! :sarcasm:

So 23.5 grains of 2206H is netting you 3170 fps? I would have guessed a lot slower.

Wow your little girl can shoot better kneeling at 650m than I can shoot at a bench at 500m. You should take that kid along to some matches, you might upset some old buggers like me when she shows us how it is done.

That 3150 is from my memory - I have nos written on white board in my reloading shed (50m away, adi book says 23.0 for 3050 so it’s close, without making the trek lol - I think the 55’s were 3300 FPS.

My daughter shoots better than she realises - it started because she has a lazy right eye and using a scope strengthens eye muscles lol.

Yes I agree SCJ, looking at my records, 24.5gr 06H under the TAP chronoed just south of 3000fps - average 2990 for me. That’s out of a 22” barrel.

Still, doesn’t really matter because excellent shooting - for a 650m, 223 group it exceeded my expectations. Just goes to show, if yu haven’t personally done it, done go thinking yu know!

Update ***made it...wasn’t too far off.
55gns with 24.5 results is 3175 FPS.
60gns Hornady with 26.0gns is 3353 FPS.
62gns TAP WITH 23.5 is 3079 FPS.
Apologies for any misleading, not intentional.
