Mmmmmm, fwesh buwetts for the wascally wabbit.

There were only 596 in my 600 pack so I'm feeling a little violated, but time and ethanol will ease the pain.

Now, let the fun begin.
Again. :D

No, Roo Max.

I went looking for the TAP and found these.
I'm hoping my 9 twist will like them better, it loves the 50gr Noslers so, fingers crossed.

Going to start testing loads today :D :D :D

Where are you guys finding these bulk buys and for how much?
I’m tired of paying $60 for 50 x hornady 55gn or 60gn projectiles...

Look forward to putting a few of these together eager to see what they shoot like. Hopefully find something good for a little more distance than the 55g super roos

Well the 55gr Roo Max certainly arrive with some authority, One this morning tore a sizeable chunk out of my bullet "stopper"

No wonder the rabbits go off like a tomato hit with a golf club.

I've tried the TAP in both my 223s now. I wasn't sure if they would stabilise in my Weatherby 223. It has a 1-12 twist whereas my Howa mini action has a 1-9. I was thinking 60gr would be upper limit with the slower twist.

I decided to try ar2208 as I thought it might work well with the slightly heavier bullet. Also it's what I have the most of.

The Wetherby seem to like between 25.3gr and 25.6gr of ar2208 with the Hornady 62gr TAP. I'll do some finer testing and post some targets. I did go as high as 26.1gr but the group seemed to open up a bit.

The Howa 223 mini action shot well. I didn't do any load development just tried 24gr and 25gr of ar2208. I've found a bit recently that the mini often has a sweet spot slightly lower in powder charge to where I'd normally start. This isn't really a problem. Except I wouldn't normally look for it. The difference is probably only 1gr of powder and 100fps from where I'd normally start. I tend not to start that low. Assuming (possible wrongly) that the accuracy sweet spot will be somewhere close to the maximum charge.
