I have a Vortex Crossfire II 4-16x50 on my CZ455 (currently in 17HMR).
Nice clear optics, 30mm tube, light for it's size and great value for the money (Cost me around $500 at the time), but I dont know if I'll buy another of that style.
I'm not against Vortex as a brand; just this model has the parallax adjust on the end of the objective lens, and that gets bloody annoying.
A mate has a higher-specced Vortex on his .223, and it has the parallax adjust on the turrets, which works for me.
I chose the scope because it was bigger than I'd ever need for the .22, but about good for what the .17HMR can shoot.
And it has been a great choice for size to suit the .17's capabilities.
I didnt expect too much from a pretty budget scope, and I've been quite surprised/impressed.
I cant fault the scope for what I've shot with it in just 3 months, but I wish I'd gone with one with the turret adjust.
