Hi all, only just found this site so a real newbie. I have a .22 magnum manufactured by M A Naughton. I am missing the magazine. Does anybody have any idea where I might buy one? Thanks.

Very difficult. I sold my only spare a month or so ago. They pop up,occasionally but will be in the $150 mark. I have never found any other mag that was close enough to fit that it could be modified. Since posting a quick search turned up one on buyusedguns coincidentally for $150. No idea if it is still available.

They are an interesting piece of history but they can be great or they can be rubbish. Merv naughton made them like customs, every day was different. Mags wouldn’t fit other guns, stocks varied, barrels wouldn’t fit. All over the place. I had two left and right hand magnums but sold them a week ago. They were snapped up very quickly but I wouldn’t do them again. The cases eject off the magazine lip so it will be essential you find one.

Great piece of Aussie firearms history. Have a thumbhole 22mag also & it shoots fairly well at around 1.5MOA @100m.
The plastic components can be problematic, especially as the firearm ages. But can be welded with some care.
