22LR penetration

Just for fun, a few 22Lr penetration vids I like. not saying its a long range killer, but worth noting to be careful what is behind whatever you shoot, regardless the calibre. I have some cop mates not overly gun savvy who scoff at 22's too....a bit worrying being the most likely calibre they will get threatened with.

In the early 90s I purchased a sportco .22 LR semi auto and a box of CCI Stingers and was seriously impressed with the performance. The government kindly gave me $200 for it in the buyback.I had paid $60.I would still prefer to have it

it used to be said that there were more deaths from a 22 rimfire than anything else
but I suspect at the time there were more 22 rimfire's about because most people were after under ground mutton and not deer
this does show the need for a good backstop no matter what cal you are using

I wont go into details but have used 22LR stingers on things considered to too large for 22LR,

I will share my experience. After picking the little 22 up I went to a mates place that was 500 acres and it was flooded so I walked up to fence post to lean on and a flock of ducks were swimming around about 100 or so.I was about 200 plus from them but knew if I jumped the fence they would take off so I held over about 2 foot and let one go.I had 2 go off then it jammed at the magazine and they all took off but one dropped back down and I had hit it in the neck.
