Hey guys,

I have just brought a new Ruger 77 22 magnum stainless and I was just wondering what trigger weight that rifle comes with.

Howdy fella,

Haven't got one hanging on the scales here by the trigger  but from memory I think you'll find it's around the 3.5-4lb range.

They're a bit heavy typically the Rugers.

Replacing the spring is about as easy as it gets though. Costs a few bucks and will make it a lot lighter if you feel the need to do it.

On the subject of the spring, here is the Ruger trigger.

You just swap that spring for a lighter one and bingo, lighter trigger.

There a good rugged bit of gear with a heavier than usual trigger for a rimfire. Honest rifle

I reckon that's a fair description of all the Rugers.

They're not super refined or super accurate. A bit heavy themselves, and same for the triggers. But there a real workhorse of a rifle that you know won't let you down.

I know some people don't like the mauser action because it's not as smooth as Tikka or whatever, might take a little elbow grease but you always know it will cycle no matter what.

I have got the rifle and it is great!!
it is a nice light rifle and is extremely accurate
I was shooting groups at 100 yard under 1.5 inches with hornady vmax 30 gr bullet
it is also a great little fox and feral cat gun
