Post by SHV » 06 Oct 2019, 12:06 am

Ruger American rimfire 22lr compact
indoor range 50 meters, bench rest
100 dollars 3-9x40 rimfire scope

right after few rounds of SK standard plus, the first 5 shot group of CCI SV, even better than SK SP, amazing group, the POI changed to up right from the target center

Very cool.
I have read of shooters applying additional lube to their .22LR bullets but I've never tried it myself.

Yep SK / RWS (European) use an oily lube whilst CCI/Federal (American) use a waxy lube

Appears your rifle likes the extra lube as bladeracer indicates

If I change ammo, I usually wouldn’t rely on the results of the first 20-25 shots after changing.

Some say, clean out the barrel if changing ammo ..

Experimenting is fun either way!

Nice looking groups there

Shooting lead is vastly different to high-volocity jacketed.
At what point does lack of maintenance become patina?
