Pretty much.
It’s like carrying around an armed telescope.
Then you just crack it open like a baby grenade launcher and drop your your pill in.
Unfortunately its also about as accurate as a baby grenade launcher would be.
Not really getting spectacular groups with it ..

Sooo. Intended purpose. State forest close to home bordered by a lot of private properties. And theres heaps of foxes and dens around the edges. I mean heaps. These things are running in packs. Pups are playing on the roads. They’re not really shy. Seem to think they’re pretty safe and will literally sit there and watch you in the mornings.
Apparently theres dogs around also but am yet to spot one.
Plenty of roadkill nearby to keep these guys well fed and hooray for horseflies.
So a lot of walking. And i want 22mag sub sonics sighted to 70 yards. But my groups are a really s**t. I made a metal top rail to suit. Made no difference.
Enjoying the exercise and travelling light. But i dont think I’ll persevere with the gun for that purpose.

Might be getting a make over not so different to op’s. Might be culling tin cans at around 25 yards with a red dot on a lazy days. Good to take camping for a bit of fun.
I’ll just carry the boring marlin for hunting i think. At least i can hit things with it.

Nothign wrong with the groups you're getting mate, at elast not those you posted. 50m with a group inside a 10 or 20c coin is just fine - if it was a starling you woulda hit it! No question for a fox or bunny.

Get into the field with her and challenge yourself, leave the paper the range.

I get the same type of groups as SHV at 50m I have a metal picatinny rail that is made for the rifle that I bought from the US. I also have a tactical threaded end cap for it as it's a single shot just in case a rabbit charges me.

I 3d printed the front forend to make it larger and allow the rifle to fold closed more.

What ammo are you using ?

I am using CCI Quiet-22 Segmented Hollow points, I find them very good on rabbits up to about 50m, although the accuracy drops off at this distance. Best around the 30m mark or less.

The barrel mount sling swivel is from eBay I think, I just have to find a sling short enough to use with it. When I have time I think I will make a paracord one.

Yes I have, I also have the hammer extension but as the scope is mounted fairly low it got in the way and was harder to use.

Also been thinking of printing a pistol grip, how do you find it to use on the Chiappa?

Sitting or prone i like the pistol grip fine. But shooting off hand not so much. I just feels more natural to me to squeeze it like a lever action with a straight stock. Probably because theres not too much to it, so kinda squeeze all round. My trigger has no give and is not particularly light, nor is the gun well weighted for balance so i just kinda squeeze the whole thing to hold my aim.

The grip i have is the chiappa one, made to fit the gun so fits flush with the reciever. Cosmetically its perhaps the best looking one out there, but she still ugly. I’d say its angled about 30-35 degrees so feels better than just fitting a generic stubby grip on there.

Lots of options out there, including this one which i think would be a perfect happy medium. Just gives you a bit more meat to hold on to.

Yeah the current grip doesn't bother me much, something more to hold wouldn't be bad, when I have time I will print one up to see if I like it.

With the trigger, is yours bad? I find the trigger to be very good, actually I would say its great, light and very crisp. I was surprised how good it was for such a cheap rifle.
