CZ 455 extractor problem

Post by WookyMysta » 19 Jul 2020, 5:38 pm

G'day to all,

My new CZ 455 .22lr.

Shot about 300 rounds, got home for cleaning and found this. Doesn't seem right.

Does the extractor need to be replaced ??

Any suggestions ??

Looks like it's taken a beating. They are easy to replace if it gives any trouble otherwise leave it.

Looks more like a defect in the material.
It is reasonable to anticipate ongoing failure with further use.
If you don't replace it right away at least procure a spare for when you do need it.
I would also suggest making representations to the distributor that it be 'gratis' due to an obvious manufacturing defect. They should be happy to do so as it would be saving them warranty gunsmith and handling expenses.

Thanks to Mattraff & straightshooter for your replies.

I appreciate your advice.

Due to time constraints of work, I cant get to my lgs until Thursday to present them with this issue.

I found an Ozzy seller that has a replacement part for about $40, Might grab 2 for spares.

Thanks again guys
