Winchester wildcat semi auto

Has anyone seen the relatively new Winchester Wildcat semi auto in 22lr?
Synthetic stock, takes Ruger mags. I called my shop this morning and there are plenty in stock at Winchester and the price was $850. I know people will just say get a 10/22, and I had been considering one, but I kinda like the look of the Wildcat. There are pretty good reviews on them on the net as well. I haven’t bought a gun for a while and this is very tempting….

They are $795 according to Winchester Australia so the $850 must be the dealer mark up. $55 markup for a rifle is not to bad. I am not a fan of the hole in stock to be honest.

I thought the dealer would be asking about 1k, so I was surprised when they told me the price. Problem is that there’s not many cat c guns on gun shop shelves, so there’s no checking them out before you buy. But $850 for a 22 semi auto plinker is not a bad price all the same.
