Latest Aquisition, .17 WSM

Picked it up this morning.
Have only slapped an old scope on it just to run the barrel in,, do a trigger job,, bed & float it.

To be able to mount the good Zeiss scope I bought for it, thanks to good old Ruger design I have had to do a special order for 30 mm rings/bases
(another $175 thanks) that are high enough to allow the fitment of the Pulsar clip on.

I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
And,,,,It's been proven,,,,, the most trustworthy females in my entire life were all canines.

Welcome to the party :drinks:

Ive had 2 x 17 WSM and they do require a little bit of tuning. I still have a 20 Hornet and a 357/256 switch barrel Most dont need shimming as QC is a lot better these day.

Trigger kits are a healthy up grade along with a proper bedding job due to the Hanger set up imparting stress on the middle of the Action.

When a guy is digging his own grave, you don’t fight him for the shovel.

 Looks good mate, I had one of those in .22WMR about 20 years ago, it shot .75 to 1 inch 5 shot groups at 100yds using Win Super x 40Gns all day long
Back in those days the trigger was acceptable unlike what they put out now
You've got a nice bit of wood on it too
